WHAT TO WEAR

FAMILY SESSION. OUTFITS SHOULD COORDINATE AND PHOTOGRAPH WELL

1. Dress your best. I love when moms are in dresses (if they like dresses) or an outfit they feel great in! Mom, go out and buy your outfit or choose an outfit out of your wardrobe first. Choose something you feel amazing in and then select family's outfits around yours.

2. Coordinate, don't match. There are rare occasions where everyone in the same color works, however generally you want diversity in colors and patterns. Pick a color tone, maybe even select 3-4 colors - and go from there.  Pinterest has some great color ideas for family photos. Before you go out and buy anything - spend a bit of time with favorite items you already own. You probably have everything you need.

3. Stay away from graphics and florescent colors. Please, don't let your kids wear those athletic shirts that are bright neon orange or yellow. What that means is that your kids face will be bright neon orange or yellow. Graphics and big logos tend to go out of style so I suggest staying away from them.

4. Be Comfortable. You are too awesome to be hampered by uncomfortable clothing.  Plus, we'll be moving around, standing, walking, sitting - wear something that makes you feel happy.

NEED INSPIRATION?!

Follow me on Pinterest! You can see I’m a big fun of long flowy dresses and skirts because it shows movement and can be played with during your session. For men neutral colors are good option (white, beige, sage, light blue, grey, ivory, or partly black). You also cannot go wrong with a denim button-up combined with beige, khaki pants or black jeans. These colors match well almost with everything. Find Pinspiration here!
